Is there a Back Pain Pandemic?

By Uncategorized No Comments

At 36 I feel under-qualified to have a back issue that is preventing me from leaving the house on some days 🙁

I spent the whole lockdown sitting on my 🍑, jumping from one client zoom call to the next… Not to mention the 15 years of office work leading up to this.

It hit me really bad 18 months ago when I couldn’t sleep for 2 nights straight as I developed a bulging disc.

As I’ve been looking for help all this time – I’ve been hearing from more and more friends of my age or even younger that they also started to experience sciatica and lower back issues recently. Just last month a friend of mine had it so bad – he had to undergo an emergent back surgery 😥

I assume a lot of us are also spending quite a bit of time on our lovely 🍑s, so I decided to talk about it here, because I want to:

1 – OPEN UP this conversation for others who are also feeling under-qualified to be experiencing back pain right now. And to encourage you to take good care of it early on

2 – SHARE RESOURCES – if you had lower back issues that you managed to heal – please share

I feel like I tried everything in the last 18 months and starting to loose hope. From fisio, osteo, back strengthening (can’t do it properly as it flares up every time I start), a touch of acupuncture, dry needles, homeopathy, energy healing, and therapy.

What else is out there…?

3 – GET ENCOURAGEMENT – please send healing vibes and positive thoughts my way while I’m going through the current flare-up, also to my friend who is recovering from the surgery and to anyone else out there struggling with this.

I’m fantasising about a moment in time when I feel strong in my body again and looking back on today’s day – I discover that there was a super-valuable lesson in all of this. And my heart fills with gratitude for this experience and for the healing.

Until then – I’m still in search of that ‘lesson’ and I’d love pointers from you where else I could turn to?

Please share in the comments (or message me directly) any helpful resources and positive stories.

Thank you so much 🙏

Who embodies the Feminine energy in its true power for you?

By Uncategorized No Comments

As a teenager, I became terrified of women. I surrounded myself with girls who were hyper-materialistic, competitive, and mean.

No surprise that I felt a lot more comfortable forging friendships with guys, and later generally felt a lot more at ease around men.

That experience was totally my choice.

I didn’t want to be in the goofy club of girls who dressed simply, loved playing football, and were generally kind and decent humans.

So, not so popular with teenage boyz!

It took me quite a few years to stop fearing women, rewire my mindset and create genuine and lasting female friendships.

Looking back, I realise now that what hurt me were not those girls per se, but the toxic feminine qualities that they embodied.

Thanks to later meeting SO many incredible women in their true power I have discovered that when feminine energy is well-balanced – it comes with beautiful gifts of Kindness, Intuition, Creativity, and Joy! ✨

And this is what I want to celebrate today – the Gifts that we so naturally bring about into this world when we are comfortable in our own skin.

As you’re reading this – I know you WILL know who you are, you amazing sparks of Joy, Kindness, and Creativity.

I’m so grateful to have you in my life, it’s helping me heal my relationship with my own Feminine energy. Thank you.

Happy Women’s Day, my Lovelies! 🌷

Should I be more REAL on LinkedIn or better to keep it PROFESH?

By Uncategorized No Comments

Most Coaches are telling me that they CRAVE being more authentic in all areas of their lives.

This is the reason they left their high-paying corporate jobs and followed the dream to run their own practice.

But at the same time, I see a lot of hesitation to embrace this value when posting on LinkedIn.

WHY?

“Well, it’s a professional platform, so it’s better to keep it suited-and-booted here and share your dog-walking photos on Facebook or instagram, right?”

NOT REALLY!

In the sea of blue suits and white shirts against grey backgrounds, what do you think will stand out?

Your PUP! 🐕

“So, am I just doing it for the ‘puppy effect’ then?”

NO!

…so that you follow your dream and values to BE REAL, whatever platform you’re on.

…so that people get to know you better, cause you need a lot deeper rapport with your audience in order for someone to decide to coach with you.

It’s not like selling b2b services.

People need to see the real you in order to feel they can trust you when sharing vulnerable stuff in coaching conversations.

I literally NEVER hired a coach who hasn’t shared something personal about them that resonated with me – either our CTI front-of-room leaders sharing real challenges, or coaches I hired after following them online.

OF COURSE

you gotta add VALUE in your posts too, LinkedIn is NOT your “Dear Diary,…” space.

SO

be real AND educate, empower, inspire in the same post,

EG

telling a tale of leadership through the experience of your dog’s ability to stay in the present moment no matter the situation, etc… etc….

So ONE thing that I’d love for you to walk away with – is understanding that AUTHENTIC, REAL content on LinkedIn – is your MOST effective way to attract clients and have lots of fun along the way.

LinkedIn algorithm is sooo behind your craving for greater authenticity and self-expression.

Why not ride the wave? 🌊

Oh, and if you want more ideas and inspiration on how to be more YOU on LinkedIn while sharing value with your clients,

come to my free LINKEDIN CONTENT MINICOURSE for Coaches launching 20th of April. Link to sign up 👇

Get coaching clients on LinkedIn via sharing content

By Attracting clients, Enrolling clients, LinkedIn No Comments
A Coach recently asked me: “Should I reach out to people who engage with my content on LinkedIn?”

Here’s my answer 👇
There are 2 great ways to bring aligned clients to your practice – you could wait for them to come to you or take the lead to invite them to a dance 💃If you choose to WAIT – then you’d need to create lots of great content and events for people to get to know you, and wait for someone to reach out when the time feels right for them.It brings some of the highest quality Prospects to you, but typically it’s a very, very long-term strategy.Your ideal client may feel shy to reach out or is simply procrastinating to connect, even if what you have to offer is VERY relevant for them right now.So, they may actually appreciate some encouragement and a warm welcome from you.Also, if you have only recently started building awareness of your work – you will sign up clients sooner if you engage
with your audience PROACTIVELY.Especially if you’re reaching out to warm Prospects who had an experience of you via your content or live events.

So, the answer is a resounding YES,

when you see the same person engage with a few pieces of your content or join your Live session – I would reach out and ask them for their key takeaways.

And, if they respond, get the conversation flowing and eventually (if relevant) invite them to an intro call with you.

I’ve been running my coaching practice for the past 6 years.

And I’ve always found that reaching out to your potential clients directly is the surest and fastest way of getting your practice booked out with aligned clients.

How about you?

Do you see better results in your practice when a potential client initiates the connection, or when you take the lead?

Growing your coaching business as a new parent 🤪

By Mindset No Comments

There is a social stigma around having kids – like your life is over and you’re making a huge mistake… That kept me away from having kids earlier. Well, and also waiting to meet my husband 🙂

As we are celebrating Leo’s 🦁 1st year on Earth, I’m so grateful to have woken up 365 days to his cute little face that has been changing every day.

And grateful to be experiencing a kind of love that I never knew existed…

Yes, your life and identity do change when you have kids. But isn’t that what life is all about?

Changing, growing, and evolving as a person?

We’re not meant to stay in the same place forever, holding on to who we were yesterday.

It’s a great opportunity to learn the art of letting go and accepting the present moment as it is.

Having a baby is helping me grow spiritually almost as fast as an ayahuasca journey!

Of course, there are many challenges.

The first year of a baby’s life can be especially tough, and more support from the government, companies and businesses is sooooo needed!

It’s not an easy road, but it’s one that’s so worth traveling.

Don’t let society’s negativity hold you back, if that’s what has been stopping you.

If you’re a parent – I’m curious to hear what were your biggest surprises (positive and negative) AFTER having a baby?

12 weeks to build a coaching business?? I doubt it 🤔

By Attracting clients, Business tips, Client love No Comments

Hey Coaches! You know those programs that promise to help you build your biz in just 12 weeks or less? 🤣😂🤣

Ask any solonpreneur how long it took them to get their business off the ground.

What do you imagine they would say?

Let’s be real, building a successful business takes a whole lot of trial and error and takes years, not just weeks.

Now, those 12-week programs may sound good in theory, but in most cases only a handful of clients actually get the results they promise, leaving many coaches feeling disappointed and without proper support past the program expiry date.

I’ve myself taken those 12-week programs, and was left high and dry at the end of most of them.

After a few quick successes during the course, I wasn’t sure how to repeat initial success without support on new client’s objections, tweaking my lead generation process, dealing with my saboteurs etc…

That’s why when I was creating the Fully Booked Coach program – I knew I gotta offer at least 6-month of granular support for the same investment that those ‘quick turn-around’ programs do.

So that you can sign up a few clients in the first 3 months but also repeat and drill down the learnings into your muscle memory in the next 3 months.

And the best part?

I also offer a lifetime support for ALL program alumni through our regular RECONNECT sessions

(that’s what one of my recent clients is referring to in this lovely WhatsApp msg).

Creating a successful business is a whole different ballgame than just landing a job – you land it and you’re good for years.

Even after nailing it for years now, I notice that I still freak out a little at the start of EVERY SINGLE QUARTER wondering if I’ll manage again to sign up my next 10 clients.

Hence, when you decide on the right business coaching program for you – make sure it provides ample support during (opt for small groups for sure!),

and lots of TLC 💖 after you leave the program.

Cause you’ll need it.

As a boutique Business Coach, I only take on 2 new clients a month, giving me the time and focus to support each one of you in a granular way.

I’m there every step of the way, whether it’s reviewing your website, LI posts, lead gen messages, or dealing with self-sabotaging thoughts.

If this sounds like the kind of support you’ve been searching for,

WhatsApp me on +44 795 1986 400 and let’s chat about how we can help you bill €5-10k euros each month.

I’ll share our requirements for participating too.

But hurry, we only have 2 spots available this Feb! So let’s do this thing! 🤗

Hugs,
Your Personal Business Fairy 🧚‍♀️

4 steps to tackle Money Freakouts 👹 as a New Coach

By Business tips, Mindset No Comments

Have you had your first MONEY FREAKOUT as a Coach yet? Get ready for more 😱… BUT I’ve got ideas to help smooth those cycles after you kissed goodbye to the safety of a corporate paycheck.

I wish I could tell you that I found a way to fully avoid those ‘money freakouts’ for good now that I’m in year 8 of my coaching practice.

Hand on heart – they still happen, even though a lot less regularly and a lot less scary, with a softer cushion in the bank.

I still get occasional visits from the money gremlin 👹, so I developed ways to cope.

Some practical ideas first:

1. Think in QUARTERS not MONTHS

Think in terms of successful quarters, not successful months.

Your energy as well as you client list ebbs and flows.

Some months, you’d want to mostly focus on coaching, helping your clients reach their dreams.

Other months, you gotta put some energy behind finding new Humans to support.

Plan a particularly active ‘enrolments month’ each quarter.

2. Get a comfy CUSHION

It’s more important for you than ever to have a 3-6 months’ financial cushion when running your practice.

Review your spendings and make cuts until you build up that reserve.

Live simply until you can live lavishly again.

Being on enrolment calls when you feel like you ‘have to’ sign up that client to cover your bills – is THE WORST!

Now, over to the mindset ideas ✨

3. Check your MONEY MINDSET

What’s your money story that needs to unravel and be put to rest?

Book YOUR OWN coaching session when you’re feeling stressed.

It can be shocking how much we love supporting others, and how bad we can be at asking for support ourselves, no?

4. BREAKING NEWS: your coaching practice is also a BUSINESS

Most coaching schools forget to mention that what they teach is about 50% of the skills you need to succeed as a coach.

Leaving some coaches disheartened that there is no orderly queue of clients upon their graduation.

Running your coaching business and consistently bringing clients to your practice is an Art form! And is the other 50% of the skill you’ll need if you’re in it for the long-haul.

I’m pretty sure I would have given up in year 2 if I haven’t finally put my pride to the side and handed over a chunk of cash to a more experienced coach to help me hack the business side of it.

…and if you’re also keen to learn how to smooth out those money freak-outs, I’m offering free 30-minute Coaching Profit Plan consultations to trained coaches only.

This time is 100% for you, focusing on what you need to experience more abundance in your new professional re-incarnation as a coach.

Being a new mum, I can only offer two 1:1 spots a week currently, so be sure to pick yours soon if you’re serious about significantly growing your practice this year: https://lnkd.in/d2zgS2vS

That’s all I’ve got on the topic for now 🙂

I’d love to hear from experienced coaches here – what helped you to smooth out financial cycles over the years?

How to use Chat GPT to attract coaching clients 🤖

By Attracting clients, LinkedIn No Comments

Is Chat GPT your new content writing BFF or the evil twin to your authentic voice? Let’s explore👇

My honest view is that Chat GPT is great news (especially for us coaches) as there is no more hiding behind generic “5 tips to run effective meetings” posts that bots can now write in a blink of an eye.

We finally have no option but TO BE REALin order to stand out!

To share our own stories and experiences that can empower and inspire others to take courageous steps too.

AI is great for scrapping internet for the best tips and ideas on a topic and bringing it together in a readable format.

BUT

The output is often a yawnfest. And it definitely doesn’t get much attention in LinkedIn’s newsfeed belt.

It’s not YOU! You are UNIQUE.

Ok, maybe one day AI will figure out how to be as funny, quirky and real like you.

But at the minute it can’t do that.

Is there a way for content creators to still benefit from this bonkers technology?

Of course.

Here’s how I decided to work with Chat GPT:

1. As a 1ST DRAFT ✍️

I input my “thought spaghetti” and ask Chat GPT to turn it into a more coherent post.

But I NEVER use it as the final output.

I often find the ideas are a touch boring (many people said that before), but it suddenly brings me a FLOOD of ideas I’d like to share INSTEAD.

So I end up rewriting 90% of what’s in the draft

BUT

it massively helps me avoid the “blank page” anxiety. I now write content twice as fast thanks to that!

As I add my own stories and re-write it in my own voice – the end result is a post that feels unique, authentic, and totally me!

2. For FINAL TWEAKS 🏁

Other times I create the 1st draft myself and then ask Chat GPT to make it more compact (I can be quite a talker), and fix grammar.

Again, that saves me lots of time thinking about what to loose.

THE VERDICT? 🤖

I think AI can be a great tool to get creative juices flowing, but it should never replace your unique voice and creativity.

Use it responsibly and STAY HUMAN!

By the way, I’m running a free LINKEDIN CONTENT MINICOURSE for Coaches starting tomorrow (WOO-HOO!).

Besides many cool content and algorithm ideas, I will also provide a quick demo on prompts that coaches can use to make the most out of Chat GPT without losing their voice and authenticity.

Book your spot – the link is in the comments. See you there!

What’s your take?

Should content creators tap Chat GPT for inspiration or avoid it to stay real?

7 LinkedIn post ideas for Coaches to ignite your spark ✨

By Attracting clients, LinkedIn No Comments

Are you a Coach who enjoys sharing content on LinkedIn BUT all out of creative fuel this week? Or you just want to get started? Here’re 7 IDEAS to ignite your spark ✨

Sharing content on LinkedIn is a way to help more people, even if they can never afford your services.

And for others to get to know you better before deciding to coach with you.

And it’s important to show up regularly as it can also help you get noticed by the LinkedIn algorithm – flagging that you’re a reliable, active and engaged community member.

So it can help more people find your content and benefit from it.

BUT

Coming up with quality content ideas regularly can be tough.

Here’re my 7 ideas of what you can share:

1. Something your ideal client finds CHALLENGING

Talk about something that was hard for you (or your clients) and is now easy. What was your key takeaway or a process that can help others?

2. Something PERSONAL

Share a personal story and your learnings from it.

People love to hear stories, and knowing that others have been through similar experiences can help them feel less alone.

3. Something EDUCATIONAL

Share something your community would love to learn about.

Eg, tips for acing job interviews or managing a team in times of uncertainty.

What’s the key thing that can make your ideal client feel a LOT better equipped?

4. Something to CELEBRATE

Share anonymized client case studies or testimonials.

If you keep a ‘personal motivation’ folder full of lovely things clients have been saying about your work – it’s time to start sharing it!

Give others an idea of the exciting transformational results coaching can help them achieve too.

5. Something OTHERS ARE TALKING ABOUT

Look at what your coach-colleagues are sharing. See if any of the topics inspire you to share your own perspective on the theme.

Or did you comment on a post talking about something you feel very passionate about? Expand that comment into a post of your own.

6. Something YOU’RE CURIOUS ABOUT

Ask your audience a question.

Something you genuinely want to know about them
OR you’d love to ask advice on
OR run a poll to get ideas for your next post or a workshop event.

7. Something FUN

There is no better way to build rapport with ‘strangers on the internet’ than humour.

Share your recorded ‘happy dance’ after signing up your recent coaching client.

Spread the joy! Our mirror neurons will thank you for that.

There you have it.

Get your 🍑 into gear after a holiday and find clients

By Business tips, Mindset No Comments

Anyone else shocked that we’re already in the 2nd half of Jan…? After an ace holiday break I struggled to get my 🍑 into gear. Here’s what helped.

I’ve enjoyed this holiday break a little too much, taking Leo to the playground for the first time and adventuring along the coast of Costa Brava with a full set of his grandparents.

It was the perfect way to recharge batteries.

But now my to-do list is longer than Santa’s and my brain feels like a bowl of mashed potatoes.

I’ve been talking to a few of my coaching peeps and it seems like many others are feeling the same way.

So I wanted to share what’s been helping me to gently land back into a work routine, maybe it can help you too:

1. PLAN 📅

Spend a full day if you must ONLY on planning your quarter>month>week.

Stop dealing with the flood of menial tasks until you understand what’s truly a priority.

2. BOOK CALLS WITH HOOMANS 🤝

If you’re also a coach – you know that nothing energizes you more than having meaningful conversations with other Hoomans.

Schedule min 3 calls a week with clients, colleagues and finally set the date for your next workshop. Watch your energy SOAR!

3. DAILY MINI-HOLIDAYS 🌴

What felt so nurturing about your holiday break?

Schedule that activity daily or weekly. Book out time in the same colour in your calendar as you would a client session – that’s your personal ‘Wellness Hour’.

Honor it. 💆‍♀️

We choose to work for ourselves because we no longer want to be ‘surviving’ between holiday breaks, rather we want the LIFESTYLE that allows us to thrive in between too!

~~~~~
It’s totally normal to feel a bit out of sorts after a break, but it doesn’t have to be this way.
That’s why I’m throwing a party, and if you’re a professional Coach – you’re invited! 🎉
It’s a free workshop called ‘GROW YOUR COACHING BUSINESS IN 2023’ that will help you lift the post-holiday brain fog and decide where to focus your energies now to attract more aligned clients this year. 🚀
We are meeting on 19th and 26th of Jan – you’re welcome to attend one or both sessions, and feel free to invite a coach-friend too. Link to book: https://calendly.com/fully-booked-coach/1?month=2023-04
Taking care of your wellbeing as a Coach 💆🏻
By Mindset No Comments
NEW YEAR, NEW HAIR! “Do whatever you think will look good”, I told the hairdresser as I walked into the salon in a funky mood…
That day I realised that I can no longer carry over my unhealthy patterns of overworking from previous years and decided on a radical change on how I work & play in 2023.
As I saw him chop off half of my length I sighed a relief that he wasn’t more adventurous!
Still it was a big deal for me. I’ve always been attached to keeping my hair long, and I felt like it was a part of my identity.
I know that the idea of making “New Year’s Resolutions” is a bit cheesy and often disappointing a few weeks later…
And still I think there’s something powerful about the start of the fresh year prompting us to reflect on our lives and make changes for the better.
It’s a time when we can take stock of where we are and where we want to go.
And for me, cutting off half of my hair was a symbol of that process.
Once I left the salon, I felt like a weight had been lifted off my shoulders.
I wondered if my hair kept memories of that part of me that I was ready to let go of, and now it’s in the bin.
I know it’s so easy to give in to the usual pressures, I already feel it mounting, send some good vibes for my resolve to hold strong ✨🙏✨
And this new haircut now serves me as a daily reminder to live by my values and to prioritize the things that matter most to me.
How about you? What will you prioritize in 2023?
Manifest your dream coaching business 🧘🏻‍♀️ Guided Meditation
By Attracting clients, Mindset No Comments
I grew up with -20C winters ❄️, but I can not stand cold weather, and now shiver like a bunny as soon as it approaches +7C… I always dreamt to live in a land with warm & sunny winters!
It made me think about the Power of Manifesting as I often visualised and felt into the energy of this ideal.
We now live in Spain enjoying sunbathing-worthy days in December and I once again marvel at the power of the subconscious mind to attract to us our heart’s desires.
Whatever goals I aimed to manifest for my career and now own business – I always managed to reach them, even though it often took a bit longer than I hoped…
I now use manifesting work with my clients too.
Just this month I created a 2023 Manifestation practice for coaches in the Fully Booked Coach program, and I wanted to share it with you too.
[I would love to also learn manifesting to its full power for my current health challenges too, but for some reason, I have a block that it’s too complicated to undo… lemme know if you have any ideas. Probably it’s really the time to deep-dive into Dispenza’s work!]
As a Coach, you’re in the business of constantly helping others to clarify and focus on their dreams and hopes.
NOW is the time to focus on your own hopes for 2023. 😇
This guided meditation will help you to get clear on the tangible vision of your practice in 2023, as tap into the Energy of it, so you can bring it closer with less effort and more Joy.
Put your speakers on, get comfy, take a few deep breaths, and listen to this just for the next 8mins: Relax now
Enjoy the Ride! ✨
Is it too late to contact potential coaching clients in Dec?🎄
By Enrolling clients, LinkedIn, Mindset No Comments
Should you contact new potential clients in Dec or wait till Jan now? 🤔
I’ve been running my coaching practice for 6 years now and EVERY YEAR I expect Dec to be the quietest month (people are busy wrapping things up, prepping for the holidays etc).
Yet… EVERY.SINGLE.YEAR I end up signing up more coaching clients in Dec than any other month.
A paradox..?
I think not.
It’s the time when your ideal clients are gearing up for creating exciting changes in the year ahead – you can be there for them, to witness and support their transformation journeys.
So if you’ve been waiting for a sign to press that magic ‘Send’ button -THIS IS IT! ✨
You can always follow up on your message in January if you haven’t heard back.
While some people are very busy in Dec wrapping things up, others respond that things actually quietened down for them now and they have this extra space to focus on their goals for the next year.
Btw – I’d love to share a little holiday gift with you. 🎁 Find your invite to Grow Your Coaching Business Q&A session in the comments below, and book your spot. There are sessions available for Dec & Jan.
I’ll answer ANY questions on launching or growing your coaching business: deciding on your niche, lead generation, social media content, acing enrolment conversations, overcoming objections – bring it on!
Come, we’ll look for the missing puzzle piece to getting your coaching practice booked out with aligned clients in 2023 🧩
Sending Hugs and my best holiday wishes!
Let’s create a vibrant Business Vision for your Coaching Practice
By Business tips, Mindset No Comments
Are you ready to make 2023 your BEST YEAR as a coach? Let’s create a vibrant vision for your coaching practice RIGHT NOW.
[while Leo is helping me to type this up 😉 gnjksa a`;odg skuds df dfsjhdzf 34ybklerzzz dfsk zc j]
As Coaches, we know that without the right Mindset no strategies, tools or tricks can help us move forward.
So let’s get clear on what you’d love to make happen by the Holiday Season 2023.
Allow the space in your mind to focus on this just for the next 2 mins, and let’s begin.
READY?
Take a few deep breaths.
Firstly, imagine if you had buckets of motivation, support and also luck along your journey to make your coaching business goals come true in 2023 – how would that make you FEEL?
✨…take a moment to connect with that feeling and allow yourself to ENJOY it…✨
Secondly, what would you love your coaching practice to LOOK like? 🎯
– How many clients do you want to work with?
– What will your week look like?
– How are you impacting your clients’ lives?
– What would you love to be earning in order to feel that your training and passion for coaching are being properly valued?
– How will success and abundance in your coaching practice be affecting other areas of your life?
NOW, connect with the FEELING that this vision is creating in you (however strong or subtle), and just REST in it for a few more moments.
Trust yourself that this connection will work its magic in the background (showing up as synchronicities perhaps..?) while you’re taking concrete steps to bring that vision closer to you 🦶
On the topic of taking conscious steps – I’m running a free Workshop this and next Thu where we’ll lock in this exciting vision for your coaching practice in 2023, and I will also be sharing tools and strategies to help you achieve it in the New Year.
I’ll answer ANY questions on launching or growing your coaching business: deciding on your niche, lead generation, social media content, acing enrolment conversations, overcoming objections – bring it on!
What helped you (and your family) settle back into work after having a baby? 👶
By Business tips, Client love, Mindset No Comments
When I got pregnant it suddenly dawned on me: “Oh 💩, our world is not set up to support mama-entrepreneurs who’d also like to enjoy the luxury of maternity leave…”
Now that our baby is almost 9 months old, I enjoy that there isn’t a deadline to get back to the office.
And yet, I did feel that my ‘time away with the baby’ was interrupted way too early by my fear of loosing my business if I allow myself to take a proper break.
Yet, I’m here to celebrate Shanta Naimi (Career & Business Coach for Mamas returning to work; the Fully Booked Coach Alumni) who managed to hibernate with her precious baby Mila for 6 full months before returning to her coaching practice WITH A BANG! 💥
As job offers started to roll in – she had the confidence to turn them down, creating a stable income and transforming lives through her coaching work.
In this video Shanta shares what helped her make such an elegant comeback, deal with Mama’s guilt and find her rhythm with both work and family.
“I prefer to keep a full-time job to pay my MORTGAGE so that I can keep my coaching PURE and FREE”
By Business tips, Enrolling clients, Mindset No Comments
“I prefer to keep a full-time job to pay my MORTGAGE so that I can keep my coaching PURE and FREE” 👈 I heard this from a few coaches now. Sorry, but it doesn’t make sense to me!
My first question is:
WHY NOT do something that you LOVE full-time and figure out how to be financially successful doing it too..?
I started thinking that there is a limiting belief there hiding behind those lofty statements:
that receiving money for helping others (and transforming people’s lives!)
is somehow… IMPURE…?
Imagine there is a super talented surgeon who is saving lives of his patients.
But then somehow he decides that he’d rather keep his practice “pure”. And keep the surgeries to evenings and weekends, while holding down a full-time job he dispises during the week to pay the bills.
Would that be a kind and thoughtful thing to do for his community?
And how about himself and his own well-being?
❣️ The more hours we can spend coaching a day –>
the better we become at it –>
and create a positive ripple effect around the world! ✨
And it is so essential to put your own oxygen mask on (how often do we say this to our clients?) –> MEANING financial success in your own coaching practice before you’re able to challenge your clients to do really courageous things and help them thrive.
Over the past 6 years of running my coaching practice, I learned not only how to cover the bills and monthly rent with the coaching work.
But also how to live ABUNDANTLY while helping others and doing something that I truly love.
I’ve just taken my family on a spontaneous trip to Andorra, and we’re staying in this beautiful stone house, enjoying our meals at great restaurants.
And all of this is covered by the wonderful coaching work that I GET TO DO.
Not saying this to show off, but to let you know that it’s available to you too!
And not just bill and nice holidays – my clients with older kids realise they can pay off their kid’s private schooling doing this work too!
You just need to have the courage and confidence, the right business tools and proper support to help you make this happen.
It is a JOURNEY!
I know it doesn’t happen overnight.
As we’re now launching a small 6 people cohort of trained coaches for Jan 2023 start and I would love to talk to you before we get booked out.
I am NOT BEHIND ON THINGS, and I haven’t wasted time!
By Business tips, Mindset No Comments
As I was coming out of a full-on week of Covid, I had this realization: I am NOT BEHIND ON THINGS, and I haven’t wasted time! 💡
I’m just in the right place at the right time having the experience I’m meant to have RIGHT NOW 🧘‍♀️
I have this unhelpful pattern of thinking that still pops into my mind even after years of therapy and coaching:
I always feel behind on things in my work life. Whatever success I encounter I always see that there’s someone who is waaaaay ahead of me.
And so I discount all my good work too quickly.
For 5 days I had solid 40°C fever while also taking care of a sick baby. And every single day I felt gutted and dishearten by the fact that I haven’t recovered yet.
And that I had to cancel yet another meeting in my calendar…
“Oh, just another wasted day!” 😥
When my fever finally subsided, I started to think about all the wonderful things that I could be getting on with right now (that I’m “behind on”).
And so I couldn’t just relax and enjoy the recovery.
And suddenly my mindset shifted into this… NEW perspective:
“YOU DON’T NEED TO DO A THING!”
And BOOM! Just like that, I finally saw “I’m behind” as just another BS thought in my head that holds as much truth as I allow it to.
I recognized also that using just the same logic, I can say… “I’m sooooo ahead in my business!”
For example, this year:
✅ I’ve transitioned to working half the time getting paid twice as much
✅ I created a really kickass business mastery program for coaches while pregnant last year!
✅ I launched a new cohort of coaches in my program this summer. When my baby was just… 3 MONTHS OLD!
I’m not sharing this just to brag, although it is really nice to acknowledge this! 🙏
…but to demonstrate how SILLY our THINKING can be in comparison to the objective situation.
And also, in reality, I am NEITHER BEHIND NOR AHEAD. I’m only comparing myself to the THOUGHTS in my own head 💭
THAT’S ALL!
Do you ever have this really uncomfortable feeling? That just wouldn’t let you relax and enjoy the moment that says:
“You’re behind on things!”
…especially after a setback or experiencing an illness?
What if you just drop the regrets, and knew in your heart, that the TIMING is just PERFECT, wherever you are right now.
What would you allow yourself to start today? Or allow yourself to stop doing today?
What are some of your WAYS to help you OVERCOME this pattern of thinking when it comes up?
How to attract 12 New Coaching Clients ORGANICALLY on LinkedIn in the next 90 Days?
How to attract 12 New Coaching Clients ORGANICALLY on LinkedIn in the next 90 Days?
I’m about to compare your approach to getting coaching clients on LinkedIn to mushroom picking. True story, stick with me an learn how to land your next 12 clients using only organic methods.
Every Autumn I get VERY excited about mushroom picking! And I only have about 3 months of this exciting treasure hunt. Some days I find a handful of good ones and we make a risotto with it! It’s probably lame but it gives me an adrenaline rush!
So does looking for new clients…
It’s too easy to take this process very seriously, turn it into a stressful task!
BUT it doesn’t have to be that way.
As a Business Coach for New Coaches, I’ve been running my practice for 6 years and been on this cycle of confidence -> crash -> confidence rollercoaster every quarter since the start! And I tell you for sure – IT DOES GET A LOT SMOOTHER with every new season change!!
But you gotta turn it into an adventure, or it’s impossible to build a thriving coaching business and hit your financial goals as a coach.
Finding coaching clients organically on LinkedIn is EASY (you don’t need any complicated tech) BUT can you keep it playful?
STEP 1
PICK A FRUITFUL FOREST SPOT = YOUR TARGET AUDIENCE
Ask experienced mushroom-pickers [Business Mentors] where to look.
Once you get an idea – use LinkedIn filters to create your target list. Keep tweaking your search until you have max 1000 people in your list, so that your niche is not too broad, or your messaging won’t be landing very effectively!
STEP 2
KEEP YOUR EYES ON THE PRIZE 🍄
Spend some quality time on each person’s profile and notice what catches your eye about them.
Send personalised messages to each Human (min 5 a day) mentioning what you find interesting/special about their background or recent experience.
Did they just get promoted? Did they raise money for a charity you admire by cycling through Cornwall?
Be genuine and mention something that truly interests you in their profile in your connection request or longer message to them. In that message – also introduce yourself and invite them to a free Strategy Call.
STEP 3
INVITE THEM TO YOUR BASKET 🧺
Have a powerful Strategy Call or an enrolment conversation, where you can pre-qualify whether you’re a good match to work together.
If you’re speaking to someone you can genuinely help (you found an edible mushroom!) – invite them to your coaching program.
To summarise, this is how you get 12 new coaching clients in 90 days:
5-10 personalised LinkedIn messages to people in your niche a day
5 enrolment conversations a week
1 new client a week
12 new clients a quarter
And so you walk home with a basket full of tasty mushrooms. Enjoy your risotto!
What would you love to say NO to?
By Business tips, Mindset No Comments
I feel so proud this week for allowing myself some extra ‘breathing’ space!
I have:
1) CANCELLED a interview that I scheduled to record
2) allowed myself to SWITCH OFF from messages for half of the day every day
3) and even POPPED OFF a coaching call once or twice to feed my baby!
As you can tell – I have a tiny baby at home who is a WONDERFUL EXCUSE for everything in my life right now!
BUT
What I really wish for myself is that I asked for what I needed and said “NO” to things more often – BEFORE I had the baby…
Eg – if I needed that extra time in the day or in the week to recover my energy.
I’d love to ask YOU:
IF you had a reeeeeally great excuse today –
What would you love to say NO to?
And of course I wanna challenge you to go ahead and DO THAT! 🙂
I wish I could travel back in time and tell this to my pre-baby self.
***
So, what do you think: is it OK to cancel a meeting because your energy is a bit ‘off’ that day? Or not?
[if you think it’s cool to do that – how would you message it?]
How do you manage high sensitivity when offering your services?
By Client love, Enrolling clients, Mindset No Comments
The KEY part of building a successful coaching practice as a Highly Sensitive Person is dealing with anxiety that comes up when offering your services.
[extract from an interview with Anna Wolas, alumni of the Fully Booked Coach program]
KATRIN: You can have a lot of anxiety come up when jumping on an enrolment call, thinking: “Ok, there is some selling’s gonna happen here.”
How do you manage that?
ANNA: As coaches we have the tools of going through a sales call like… coaches, right?
We just approach it as a coaching session!
That really helped me to remember to be AUTHENTIC in those conversations.
I know I have a great program, and it is well-aligned with who I am and how I work as a coach. Also with my experience, with my background,
so, yeah, I am confident with it!
And I can leave it on the side and just focus on that PERSON, start coaching them on that call.
And at the end, if I see that there is alignment, and that person would actually BENEFIT highly my program – I just go ahead and describe what the journey looks like.
And it happens organically!
If you think of it as a coaching conversation, then it’s flowing!
And you’re finding people who are ready, who are resonating with you. So there is chemistry!
***
Many coaches are deeply empathetic which opens us up to feeling highly sensitive at times. And it can get in the way of running a thriving coaching practice.
I’m so proud for Anna to find a way to manage those tendencies and empower her clients who need support with it too.
THERE ARE MEN WHO HELP YOU FLY 🧚‍♀️ …and men who help you fail 🐉
THERE ARE MEN WHO HELP YOU FLY 🧚‍♀️
…and men who help you fail 🐉
There are men out there who want to see you FLY and be an EQUAL
and INDEPENDENT and HAPPY PARTNER.
And also men out there who want to see you FAIL, so that you DEPEND on them, and DON’T LEAVE them.
As we’re celebrating a 6-year ANNIVERSARY since our meeting with my WONDERFUL husband in the beautiful Andorra,
I was reflecting on how I feel so glad that I’ve decided to build my life with a man who truly wants to see me THRIVE,
be my OWN person, as well as his PARTNER and WIFE.
I grew up in Russia, and it’s unfortunate that the culture there at the time, (maybe it’s changing now)
has been that a woman is expected to graduate Uni,
make a baby or two, and then just STAY AT HOME, cook and clean.
And that’s just what she does…
As I was reflecting on my journey with Peter, I was thinking how forever GRATEFUL I feel for all the wonderful ways in which he
has helped me to grow PERSONALLY, but also PROFESSIONALLY.
He’s the one who actually INSPIRED me to try out coaching for the first time when we met, a profession that I absolutely fell in love with!
Not only that, but he’s actually SUPPORTED me for the first year when it was really hard to earn well as a coach, and support myself.
Not only he covered my monthly bills, and whatever else that I needed, but he also gifted me the first two thorough COACHING COURSES, after which I felt for the first time really confident in my skill.
But not only that, he just INSPIRED me every single day.
When I felt like I was failing, when I needed emotional support…
Or just giving me some POSITIVE FEEDBACK on some of the stuff that I was doing.
So, my darling Peter,
there’s so many things that I’m grateful for, and particularly for helping me to GROW and FLY as a coach!
And for SUPPORTING me every single step of this journey.
I LOVE YOU !
The secret to taking time off while being a passionate entrepreneur is…. 🥁
The secret to taking time off while being a passionate entrepreneur is…. 🥁
First of all – thanks everyone who shared the wisdom on taking a holiday while running your own business!
After reading your comments – I went straight to airbnb and booked a chalet in the mountains of Andorra.
[Irina Benfrid thanks for the cautionary tale that however you spin it – having a mental and physical break is essential!]
When we arrived, we realised that THERE WAS NO WIFI in our stone home.
On top of that, turns out that Andorra has obnoxious mobile data charges, so… it was a great excuse to just switch our phones right off.
[thanks, Daniel Broby, PhD for the top tip!]
Bliss!
I must admit, I still managed to sneak out of the house while baby and hubby were napping – and recorded a new video for my YouTube channel (hopeless!)…
But – I felt really in the flow while doing it, and was so present with ma Boyz for the rest of the day, so I think it was worth it!
[Anna Wolas – I tapped into your recommendation to ride the wave of inspiration]
These were the 3 most refreshing days of the year!
And on return, oddly, I found out that 3 new people signed up to the Autumn cohort of our Fully Booked Coach program.
The magic of doing less!
[thanks Danielle Robins EMCC for being my kickass enrolments fairy 🧚🏼‍♀️]
To summarise – here are the ingredients of a quality holiday for someone who’s finding it hard to disconnect:
🚗 get out of your usual space/home (we live by the sea, but even so – it’s hard to have a holiday when everything reminds me of my usual routine)
🌲go to nature (those positive ions!)
🔇switch off your phone (seriously! the world won’t fall apart)
💫 ride the wave of inspiration if it catches you (better out than in)
How was your break & what would you add to this list?
~~~~~

And… if you’re a Coach reading this and ready to get your coaching practice fully booked this year (so that you can’t wait to get back to work after each holiday 😉

➡️ then get in touch! We have 3 more spots in our Autumn cohort available. DM me for details.

Have a great ‘Back to School’ month everyone 🏫

HELP! I forgot how to “Have a Holiday”…

By Business tips, Mindset No Comments

HELP! I forgot how to “Have a Holiday”…

The danger of doing something you truly love for work – is the difficulty to switch off.

A couple of years ago I almost hit a burn-out while jumping from one coaching zoom call to the next all day, during the pandemic…

The energy of speaking to my clients gives me such a wonderful high, that I find it hard to stop working.

I was meant to have 2 weeks off in August, the 1st one is now coming to an end and I worked the whole way through it. At a slower pace but still…

Next week is my last chance to properly rest and disconnect and I already catch myself making plans for what kind of cool content I could create while ‘on a break’…

I know it’s a very ‘high quality’-type of a problem. Plus, I live by the sea and it’s a true blessing to be able to experience raw nature most working days anyway…

And yet, I think there is a mindset issue here too for me.

I’d love to hear from fellow entrepreneurs and others who love their work:

how do you manage to disconnect during a holiday?

… or… should I just keep doing what feeds my soul, since I have this extra time to focus on more creative things?

Just got my PCC! But… do you need to be ICF-accredited to run an abundant coaching practice?

By Attracting clients, Business tips No Comments

Just got my PCC! But… do you need to be ICF-accredited to run an abundant coaching practice?

I reluctantly applied for my PCC accreditation via ICF just before giving birth this year… Here’s why I decided to do it in such a tender moment.

I’ve been a Career Coach for 5 years before becoming a Business Mentor for Coaches last year.

I received my ACC accreditation in year 3 of my coaching practice.

Strangely, not a single client asked me about it in previous years.

After I got it – 2 potential clients I spoke to knew what it was (out of hundreds!).

Newer coaches often ask me whether they should sort out their ACC before fully emersing themselves in building out their coaching practice.

The simple answer is NO!

You don’t need to be ICF accredited to be earning really well from coaching or be a great coach – so far as you got your proper 100+ hours of quality training done and practiced coaching.

Most individual clients never heard about ICF…

BUT

If you want to be working with Associate Coaching companies or Organisations – then about 90% of them WILL REQUIRE that you are ICF accredited. Usually ACC level is plenty.

I worked for an Associate Coaching company for a year and with a start-up for 3 years after completing my ACC, but they never asked for it…Yet if I wanted to discover more opportunities like that – most likely it would be required.

Coaches wear the ICF badges proudly and talk about the value of “keeping up professional standards”.

No doubt ICF is a pioneer and has done fantastic work in professionalising this new and exciting industry we’re part of, and observing the ethics of it.

At the same time, there are also other ways of keeping up your professional standards and ethics – eg by taking on other coaching trainings for the cost you’d pay to get your ICF accreditation.

After all the mentor hours, ICF fees, CCEU top-ups you’ll end up paying min of £2500. And that’s on top of approx £5000 coaching training program you already paid for…

If your time or financial resources are tight, here’s a quick test to decide if you need to focus on getting your ICF accreditation right now:

✅ you’re looking to work with organisations/ corporates/ associate coaching companies ➡️ DO IT!

❌ you’re looking to work primarily with individual clients ➡️ DON’T BOTHER (at least for now).
Focus on ‘paying yourself back’ but figuring out the business side of it.

So, why did I decide to apply for my PCC amongst all the stress of preparing to birth a baby?

I shifted my focus from Career Coaching to Business Mentoring for Coaches last year.

Since all of my clients are now Coaches themselves, guess what? THEY ALL KNOW WHAT ICF IS!

And actually care for me to be accredited and ‘progressing through the ranks’.

I made up enough hours to apply for PCC a couple of years ago, but finally it made sense to make the time and money investment to get it sorted.

What are your thoughts and experience with getting ICF-accredited?

Sometimes I feel scared of sharing publicly for the fear of criticism. But!..

By Mindset No Comments

dear Busy Parent, I’m so so grateful that you stopped by my post last week about struggling with my Entrepreneur vs Mum identity.

And for taking a moment to pour your heart into words of encouragement! I literally felt a Huge Relief after reading your comments.

Your overwhelmingly loving response makes me wanna share more about my ‘Mumpreneur’ journey – the ups and downs, the questions and the learnings.

It will help me ‘process stuff’ and I hope it will support other busy parents out there too 🙂

What I’m taking away from reading all your comments:

1. We choose our own way of parenting. No one model fits all…

2. Staying FULLY PRESENT with our little one during our time together is more important than the quantity of time we spend together (so far as they’re well looked after by another caregiver in-between)

It’s great for Leo to see his mum Happy (cause he mirrors my emotional state!).

If staying with him full-time does it for me this week – great!

If being immersed in my work nurtures my soul next week – that’s awesome too!

Although overall, I made a decision to lighten my work-load and at least cool it on starting new projects at work, so I can spend more time with Leo.

3. (!) There should be no trace of guilt in my heart, only PROFOUND GRATITUDE for my situation ->

That I can work from home doing what I love! For my wonderful husband who is also working from home and helping a lot with the baby!  For my mum is with us and can’t wait to take Leo off us even when it’s out time with him!!

Above all – we are BLESSED to have LEO! He is such a cool kid already!!

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! UNIVERSE, I AM JUST SO SO GRATEFUL for this truly special situation we have going on! ✨🙏✨

I’m curious to hear from you – what supported you the most through tough days when your babies were so very small?

Am I making the biggest mistake of my life…?

By Business tips, Mindset No Comments

When I decided to quit my corporate job, I was under impression that working for myself will allow me to have all the time in the world for my little baby, when I have one.

In fact, it was one of the deciding factors for me to call it quits and start my own business.

It turned out quite differently.

Even though I saved up enough to finance an extended maternity leave, I realised that there is a bigger catch – my business doesn’t run itself yet. I felt I couldn’t leave it for too long without loosing my team…

So I wonder if I did something I may regret later.

1 month after giving birth – I jumped on my first group coaching call, while Leo was playing with his granny.

Oddly, I enjoyed being ‘back into action’ so soon; and seeing glowing faces of my lovely clients again!

I started working a couple of hours a day, and 3 months after birth – went back to work pretty much part-time.

I started to experience guilt like never before!

Leo seems content to be looked after by three caregivers throughout the day, and yet these questions are swirling in my mind:

“How is this affecting my baby’s development?”
“What is the impact of it on our future relationship?”

I’m not sure if being a part-time mother to a 4-month old is a good idea…

I love my time with Leo and I also feel compelled (and excited!) to continue with my business at the same time. It gives me a lot of buzz and enjoyment too.

By now I worked through some of the feelings of guilt, as I see him enjoy playing with his favourite granny for half of the day, and dad is helping a tonne too.

After all, I’m always home and ready for another feed or to comfort him when he needs it.

And yet, I keep being haunted by this thought – am I making the biggest mistake of my life by not being there with him every waking hour of the day – while he is so so small?

Parents with businesses or busy jobs, I’d love to hear your thoughts and opinions to get my head straight on this topic.

🙏

Do you LEAN IN or SHY AWAY?

By Business tips, Enrolling clients, Mindset No Comments

Coaches, are you aware that you’re losing at least 50% of awesome clients simply because you’re SHYING AWAY from dealing with objections in enrolment calls? It’s ok, I missed out on working with many potential clients too, until I learnt to LEAN INTO such discussions.

If you’re signing out of the Zoom meeting on the variation of –

“Sounds great, let me think about it”

…then you’re likely to hear something like this the next day:

“I reeeeally enjoyed meeting you, [insert a generous compliment]. But, it’s not for me right now”.

The reason this happens so often is:

Embarking on a coaching journey is SCARY AF!

Not only for the cost and time commitment, but because you’re going to work on helping them make their most DARING DREAMS come true!

You know, how they say that we are more afraid of our success than failure? [something like that….]

So if you jump off the call without addressing her doubts, she will spend that evening in the ‘saboteur land’ – coming up with 27 reasons why this won’t work for her.

BUT

What if you took the courage to LEAN INTO these uncomfortable conversations, where you got to unpack her doubts and limiting beliefs RIGHT ON THE ENROLMENT CALL?…

So that you get to EMPOWER HER to finally take the stance for her heart’s desires, as well as empower yourself with ever greater abundance in your coaching practice!

I know that most coaches struggle with this process so I felt inspired to schedule a round of MASTERING ENROLMENT OBJECTIONS trainings in July.

I will share with you my own ABCD process for overcoming ANY objection that flies your way. As well as the One Magic Question to ask to uncover the REAL doubts behind her uncertainty to join.

If you’re ready to go deep on this topic and start converting 50-70% more of your enrolment conversations – then you’re welcome to join one or all three of the training sessions in July (starting this Thu).

Link to sign up is in the comments 👇

And now, I’d love to hear – what is the most puzzling objection you’ve ever heard? Let me know in the comments.

Money Mindset

By Business tips, Enrolling clients, Mindset No Comments

Coaches, what is the N1 reason we are missing out on signing up more clients at a higher rate?
In my view, it’s about our Money Mindset.

Since I was 6 years old, I remember seeing my mum and dad have HUGE fights about money.

From a small person’s perspective, these seemed nearly life-threatening to me.

It’s no surprise that when I grew up – I avoided the topic like fire 🔥

Not a great place to be when you’re working as a Headhunter in Investment Banking…

Life challenged me with negotiating million-dollar salary packages for my candidates, so I had to face my Money Gremlins 👹 head on!

After too much palm-sweating in such conversations, I brought up this topic with my therapist for the first time.

And WOW, just this AWARENESS of where this disempowering ‘money story’ started was a huge breakthrough for me!

I still broke a sweat when negotiating, but now I didn’t hide away when the conversation got more heated.

As a Coach, I imagine this topic must have surfaced for you already in your own coaching sessions. And you must have a high degree of awareness of your Money Story.

What I find quite ‘fun’ in our work – no matter how much awareness we have of something or how much rewiring work has happened – the disempowering story is never ‘closed, done and dusted’ (at least in my experience).

Instead, it loosens its grip so that you can open up to ever more Abundance over months and years.

I notice that every year I need a ‘top-up’ session on this topic – so that my nervous system can open up to yet another level of Abundance.

But wait… why am I talking about this?..

Ah!

…cause it’s this little Money Gremlin in the back of your mind who makes you withdraw from the conversation when the Prospect brings up the variation of “Sounds great, BUT I can’t afford it right now” – during an enrolment call.

Sometimes it is truly the case, but most of the time – it is yet another limiting belief that you can help this person overcome if you choose to LEAN INTO this conversation. So that they get to experience transformative results of coaching with you.

Which new EMPOWERING Money Story do you choose to write (or remind yourself of) today? 🎥

Sounds awesome, but… no thanks

By Enrolling clients, Mindset No Comments

Hey Coaches, I can’t tell you how many times I jumped off an enrolment call BUZZING with energy thinking “We are so perfect for each other! She will DEFO sign up!” Only to wake up next morning to an email with a generous compliment and a ‘No thanks’ at the end.

Back then I felt yucky trying to uncover that person’s doubts on the enrolment call…

I felt uneasy talking about money…

I took their objections at the ‘face value’ and just moved on…

As a result, I lost out on about 70-90% of all potential clients whose lives I could have impacted!

I don’t do regrets, so I took each rejection as a [painful] learning opportunity.

Over the last 6 years of running my coaching practice and 400+ enrolment calls later, I finally learnt a process that helped me unpack what’s really behind this person’s doubts.

And I learnt to COACH them through objections. Cause, in 90% of cases, these objections are not even a real thing…. But a limiting belief in their mind.

Which, as a skillful Coach, you can totally help them to overcome!

I have a round of free workshops prepared for you in July, dear Coaches! On Mastering those sneaky objections that you probably get to hear on most of your enrolment calls.

If you’re fed up missing out on signing up aligned clients because of yet another “Sorry, I’ll call you when I have more cash” type of thing – you don’t want to miss these sessions!

You’re welcome to sign up to a few of them as this skill takes some time to get into your muscle memory, and we’ll get to practice responding to a few different objections on each call.

Save your spot(s) at the MASTER ENROLMENT OBJECTIONS WORKSHOP and share with a Coach-friend: https://calendly.com/fully-booked-coach/1?month=2023-04

I promise you – if you have the right mindset and process in place – handling those objections can be a lot of FUN, just like Coaching!

And, I’d love to hear – what’s the most PUZZLING objection you’re ever heard?

Silly? Impulsive? … you may wonder …

By Attracting clients, Business tips, LinkedIn No Comments

Face of a woman who signed up for yet another $5k coaching programme in the middle of the night!

Silly? Impulsive? … you may wonder …

The first time it happened, I wondered if I got tricked – as I put the phone down after a coach managed to extract that kind of investment out of me.

And then, I started with the process, got breakthroughs, and returned the investment 3 fold in 3 months. And by now, 6 years later, it paid back so many times over that I’d rather not say, as you may think I’m telling porky pies.

I’ve learnt that so far as you do these 2 things right, coaching is pretty much a money, happiness and fulfilment-generating machine!

[hence, my over-excitment in this image – I can tell something REALLY cool is about to happen!]

1.DUE DILIGENCE

Make sure you are handing over your hard earned cash to a legit & talented coach + you have great chemistry.

I usually follow my coaches for 1-2 years before finally signing up at midnight a year later [like last night]. I look at their content, even sometimes ask to speak with their past clients before I sign up.

I often suggest that Coaches who are considering to sign up to my Fully Booked Coach programme do the same! I even sometimes put them in touch with my kickass graduate coaches before they decide.

2.CONFIDENCE

How ready are you to invest yourself into the process?

Yes, the coach will help you prioritise and facilitate breakthroughs, but be honest about how ready you are to put in the work in-between sessions, deal with your ‘saboteurs’, and emerge on the other end – transformed!

I’m sightly embarrassed to admit that with this programme I have now invested into 6 programmes at $5k or thereabout.

But… it has paid off EVERY single time! Not just returning the investment many-fold, but making a HUGE difference to my quality of life.

Last programme I signed up to last year helped me reduce my working hours 5-fold while getting paid twice as much.

So now I make such decisions with a lot of [research &] JOY!

I learnt to TRUST myself that this is not creating a hole in our family budget, but an exciting opportunity that will move us forward.

Bottomline – I’m really excited to be working with you, Shay ☀️ Rowbottom and Jonathan Palmar
I’ve been stalking you for a while…

Have you spent $5k on a coaching programme before? What inspired you to sign up? Did it deliver on the promises?

What helps you to bounce back from a setback in your coaching practice?

What helps you to bounce back from a setback in your coaching practice? In my experience running a business goes in ebbs and flows and the ‘emotional rollercoaster’ of it gets easier over the years, but never really comes to a full stop.

Hearing enough NOs when offering your coaching is an integral part of hearing enough YESs that keeps your practice thriving.

It feels extra emotional to loose a potential client, since that ‘service/product’ you’re offering is, well… YOU!

I thought I had the grip on my emotions in recent years. I’ve started to feel almost as cool as a cucumber on enrolment calls knowing for sure that statistically I only need to speak to 3 people for 1 to sign up.

But recently I was introduced to a new challenge: a little baby-boy who brings us tonnes of Joy,… and also some sleep deprivation…

When I had a ‘bad night’, the quality of thinking goes right down the toilet.

If I have a minor setback, it serves me with a variation on this thought:

“Clearly you’re a SHIT […fill in the gap as you please, eg mother/wife/coach…]!”

I thought to share as last week I had a sudden mini-meltdown. I signed up a new client, who changed his mind overnight.

As I spent the day ‘filling the gap’ in that sentence, two BONKERS AMMMAZING clients signed up by the evening.

I wondered if that lamenting was at all necessary.

Consciously, I know that it’s not necessary, but a degree of it is unavoidable.

All of this to say – you’re not alone if you woke up with a doubt in your head:

“Am I good enough for this client?”

“Will I be able to sign up new clients this month?”

“Who am I to..”

Don’t believe everything you hear in your lovely head.

Over the years, I developed a level of confidence that is deeper than this surface thinking.

Even in the midst of calling myself names, I have full certainty that this is temporary. And if things are looking down right now – the only way it can go from here is UP.

The only real way to have consistency in your practice – is to take a proper moment to process such emotions and simply take that next step the next day!

Having gone through multiple emotional roller-coasters in my coaching business, I develop a profound level of compassion for coaches who are starting out and learning for the first time that being an awesome coach is only 50% of the job.

So I developed a programme that helps trained coaches get the business skill of it into their muscle memory called The Fully Booked Coach.

We are launching our Summer Cohort at the end of June, we now have 4 incredible coaches on board, and there is space for 2 more to apply for the programme.

Let me know if you’re curious and we can jump on a call to see if we may be a good fit to work together to help you iron out the ebbs and flows, and get the tools to truly enjoy the ride!

Can every talented coach run a successful coaching practice?

By Business tips, Enrolling clients, Mindset No Comments

Can every talented coach run a successful coaching practice? 🧐 If you think about your fellow student coaches you admired for their skill in the training school – how many of them ended up building a thriving practice?

I’ve always felt disheartened and puzzled that very few of them do…
Unfortunately, COACHING and RUNNING A COACHING BUSINESS are two VERY different sets of skills and activities.

Here’s a throwback picture to 2012 when I started working while travelling for the first time. I’ve always valued a high degree of freedom and independence in my work. And access to tropical islands too! 🏝️

Even though in this image I’m still ‘working for a boss’ – I was always blessed with super-bright Managers who quickly figured out my personality, and let me run ‘my own thing’ inside their team.

I feel that this quality has helped me to get through the thick and thin of building a coaching practice, esp in the first two years of much uncertainty.

In my opinion, you’re likely to enjoy long-term success running your own practice if you’re at ease with:

✅ working INDEPENDENTLY (or part of a small team)

✅ making your own DECISIONS and having full OWNERSHIP of the project

✅ a degree of RISK being a constant in your life

✅ quickly shrugging off REJECTIONS and recovering swiftly from occasional epic fails

✅ CREATIVE activities, eg coming up with new solutions when you hit a wall, as well as creating engaging content

✅ less exciting OPERATIONAL activities required

✅ putting in a full DAY’S WORK without anyone kicking your ass
If this sounds like you, I’ve got some good news! You’re likely to not only do splendidly financially in your practice but also ENJOY the process of running it!

I created a coaching-business-in-a-box programme specifically for YOU 🙂 It’s called the Fully Booked Coach and we are launching our cozy Summer cohort (max 6 coaches) on the 23rd of June.

You get ALL the tools you need to set strong foundations for your practice and know exactly what to do every month to hit around £5-10k CONSISTENTLY 🎉

If you’re curious to hear how we are supporting coaches in creating such results – let’s meet! I’m running 2 free Workshops in June called GAMELPAN for £5K MONTHS where I will share our key strategies. And you’re invited!

Pick your session in June: https://calendly.com/fully-booked-coach/1?month=2023-04

BUT

if you’re feeling disheartened by this post and thinking that you don’t really enjoy the things I mentioned –> there are OTHER WAYS you can practice coaching and empower Humans without having to deal with the whole business shebang.

I can share 3 other directions you can take – just type ’tell me more’ in the comments and I’ll post it next week.
Have a great self-care-full weekend! 🛀🏻

Do you find it easy to enjoy things when there’s a limit on it?

By Mindset No Comments

This Sunday I fed my baby and went off duty, on a twisty-turny drive along the coast. Those two hours of ‘freedom’ felt oh so sweet, like never before. I wondered why is that when I really had the freedom to do what I please with my day – I didn’t enjoy it as much…

Strangely, I’m happy not to have all that freedom anymore, as it feels deeper and more meaningful to savour it in small bites.

Perhaps there is magic in knowing that this won’t last too long, so I’m a lot more present with every moment of it?

Or maybe I should have been more grateful when I had more freedom and learnt to be more ‘with the experience’ even when it was in abundance?

Do you find it easy to enjoy things when there’s a limit on it? Or do you know a way to enjoy what you have in abundance?

I’m curious to hear your thoughts and process with this…

How do you figure out your niche?

By Attracting clients, Business tips, Enrolling clients No Comments

“How do you figure out your niche?” – I hear from coaches who have struggled to attract clients consistently for over a year while branding as a Life / Transformation / Co-Active / Professional / etc / COACH. … And eventually realise that they NEED a niche (at least when starting out!) in order to be able to attract clients to their practice consistently.

If you’re still resisting this idea (like I have for the whole 1st year of poverty in my coaching practice), then take a few more months before coming back to this post. Bookmark it in the meantime 😉

I do a lot of work helping coaches figure out their Niche in my www.theFullyBooked.coach Business Mastery programme. Because it is THE most fundamental thing to be able to build out a brand and a business.

How do you even write a post here, without speaking to someone in particular? It won’t stand out amongst all the noise…

Anyway, if you’re soooo done struggling without a niche, take a look at this model I designed, taking inspiration from Ikigai – to help you figure out your Zone of Genius in coaching.

Reflect on these 4 elements and find your SWEET SPOT (then drop it in the comments or DM, so I can share my feedback on its viability):

1) 👑 POWER – an area where you have (at least a degree) of credibility and experience (eg role, sector, a stage of life).

As a skillful coach, you WON’T USE your ‘experience’ in that space in coaching sessions. But in the current (quite saturated) world of coaching, it’s hard to consistently sign up clients who are, for example, entrepreneurs, if you never ran your own business.

It’s possible! But you’re swimming against the current, competing with coaches who are also talented plus have that experience.

Even though I worked with a number of CEOs without ever being one, I found it hard to consistently attract more CEO clients.

2) 💖 PURPOSE – genuine passion to coach people in that space.

Yes, we can coach anyone on any topic. But let’s be honest – we feel more fulfilled and excited helping clients achieve certain results over others, and it comes through in our marketing and enrolment conversations.

3) 🦸‍♀️ PEOPLE

Circle of Colleagues, acquaintances, friends. You intimately understand their joys and struggles, you speak their ‘lingo’, and know the right questions to ask in coaching sessions.

Which Circle of your connections do you feel most called to help? What do they have in common?

4) 💰 PROFIT – choose an audience who can pay the rate that feels right for you and can sustain your practice long-term.

Sure, have a few ‘compassion spots’. So far as you have your profitable ‘core niche’ figured out.

I have a workshop coming up for Coaches GAMEPLAN FOR £5K MONTHS – where we do this exercise more in-depth and I describe what to do next once you get more clarity on your niche.

All May spaces are now taken, you can book yourself in for June: https://calendly.com/fully-booked-coach/1?month=2023-04

Have fun exploring!

We’ve just passed 1 month, what a rollercoaster that was!

By Mindset No Comments

We’ve just passed 1 month, what a rollercoaster that was! Mammas everywhere, you’re total HEROS! ⚡🦸‍♀️⚡ I thought a lot about the moment 6 years ago when I worked for a financial services company which I enjoyed!, and yet I asked myself one day:

“Would I still be happy doing this when I have a baby? 👶🏻

Tubing to office until I’m about to pop, then handing my young child over to a nanny when I need to return to work, doing long hours. Not to mention the constant stress of working in finance.”

The answer was a super-clear ‘HELL NO!’ ⛔

It felt scary and even heartbreaking to leave, but I called it quits and embraced the uncertainty of becoming a solopreneur as a Career (and now – Business) Coach.

That was another roller-coaster but I never looked back. I adore the freedom, the fulfillment, the abundance that it offers!

Seeing my client’s faces tear up as we finish our sessions, saying that their lives were transformed in the process – it’s PRICELESS! 💖

Now that my business mastery programme THE FULLY BOOKED COACH is wrapping up for our 1st cohort, I’m so inspired by participants’ journeys.

I’m seeing these talented coaches finally taking the courage to quit their jobs or side hustles. And gaining confidence and tools to know they can be an abundant coach too! 💰

Dear Coaches, I’m mega-proud of you!

And for those still dreaming and doubting of being able to just simply focus on coaching full time – please know it IS possible! With the right tools, mindset and support, you can do it too!

In May, I’ll be running a series of free weekly Workshop for Coaches GAMEPLAN FOR £5K MONTHS outlining the exact journey and strategies that helped our coaches start signing up clients consistently. 🏝️

It is limited to 6 attendees per event, so that I can give everyone individual attention on the call. Book your spot here:

How to deal with rejections when offering your coaching services

By Enrolling clients, Mindset No Comments

When I started offering my first coaching packages – I was shocked to find out how much more personal rejections feel when you’re offering your very own skills, heart and mind VS someone else’s products or services…

Especially, when the enrolment call goes so well, and the potential client seems sooo aligned!

After conducting 300+ enrolment conversations over the past 5 years of my coaching practice, I thought I developed a pretty thick skin to bouncing back quickly from a client saying “Sorry, not for me”.

And yet this month I experienced the ultimate ‘salles challenge’ of my entire career – aiming to fill 10 spots in my upcoming group coaching programme, all at the SAME TIME! Even though 8 lovely clients already joined the group, the journey wasn’t as smooth as I hoped…

Hearing a few rejections can stop talented coaches from pursuing running the coaching practice independently because, let’s face it, it’s hard and unpleasant!

And yet, how can we stand in integrity challenging our clients to do courageous things – initiating a promotion conversation, interviewing for an exciting role, etc – if we are not fully challenging ourselves to put our heart & mind ‘out there’?

And psssst, it’s possible to get a lot more comfortable and a lot more skilled at converting enrolment conversations into sign-ups.

There are still 2 spaces remaining on my programme for trained & talented coaches who want to grow their income from coaching to £5-10k a month. Book a call with me to find out if it’s right for you:

To niche, or NOT to niche as a new Coach?

By Attracting clients, Business tips, Enrolling clients No Comments

I was broke in the first year of my coaching practice and had to take on a part-time job. As a new coach, you’re competing with thousands of other talented coaches graduating every year, as well as more experienced coaches who already created a name for themselves.

So, how do you STAND OUT and build a thriving coaching practice now?

If you’ve been on the fence about ‘NICHING’ to build and grow your own coaching brand – in this video I share with you my experimentations working with a niche and without one. One of these options kept my practice POOR, another helped it SOAR!

  • Do you wanna guess which one’s which?
  • What is your experience working with a niche and without one?

Let me know in the comments. [tag a coaching friend who would appreciate learning more about this] And here’s the link to schedule a call to discuss how the Fully Booked Coach programme can help you go from poor to soar in your coaching practice too:
